Description

The MTTS Dolphin CPAP is a next generation bubble CPAP machine that combines the latest in respiratory care and patient monitoring technology with exceptional value. It is a comfortable alternative to relatively invasive therapies, endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation. The Dolphin CPAP system is designed to protect compromised airways, enhancing patient comfort and optimizing infant outcomes. Its continuous gentle pressure of air decreases the baby’s work of breathing by keeping the alveoli of the lungs open, enables efficient capillary exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide to take place, helps establish and maintain functional residual capacity, prevents collapse and upper airway obstruction, and reduces apnea, bradycardia and cyanotic episodes.

Key Features

Gas Mixing
The Dolphin CPAP has electronic mixing for easy, independent adjustment of flow rate and FiO2. The FiO2 can be directly set, no calculations or tables required. The internal regulator allows for the Dolphin to be safely connected to a variety of oxygen sources.

Humidifier
The Dolphin humidifier automatically refills for 3-days of continuous operation and has a small heated volume for quick warm up. The heater power is automatically adjusted to maintain correct humidity and minimize rain-out.

Patient Circuit
Composed of robust but flexible silicone tubes. Completely reusable and most parts are autoclavable. If an autoclave is not available, parts can be chemically disinfected. The circuit includes an internal heater wire and temperature sensors.

Pulse Oximeter
Pulse-oximetry is integrated into the device. The Dolphin uses Masimo SET® technology for accurate, reliable, and robust measurements. There is a simple user interface and alarm settings and no multi-level menus or complicated button sequences.

Air Compressor
The integrated air compressor means there is no need for an external air source. It is completely integrated, meaning no messy external wires or tubes and is a diaphragm type for clean, long lasting air supply.
